I'm a nurse in engineers' clothes, a loving son and brother

For 10+ years I've led teams that build systems to enhance clinician performance; I use a deep understanding of clinician workflows and human factors to improve access to wellness and health outcomes.

This site keeps me in touch with family and friends

As an engineering grad at Stanford, I aimed to boost the nursing workforce to meet the healthcare needs of an aging population. I discovered that 20% of the world's nurses are in the U.S. serving only 4% of the world's population, yet we face burnout and poor outcomes.

Realizing more nurses wasn't the answer, I pivoted. Now, I'm developing a health service model that aligns business with the wellness of both patients and clinicians. The goal: timely, evidence-based care that improves U.S. health outcomes without exhausting our healthcare workforce.

Previously I was a nurse, researcher, and educator.

My startup, Syminar, Inc. based in Stanford, CA made products, services, and policy advocacy that helped educators in ending the nursing shortage.
